The Skilled Immigrants and Refugee Engagement Network (SIREN) is a group of service providers assisting engineers in returning to their fields through licensure, certification and employment support. It’s hosted by the Puget Sound Welcome Back Center at Highline College, in Des Moines.
Licensing Specialist Lead, Vonna Cramer, met with the group on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. They discussed requirements for both the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and Professional Engineer (PE). The group is encouraging and coordinating pathways to licensure, highlighting recent rule changes and updates to the BRPELS website.
