On-Site Wastewater Designers License by Exam
All applicants are required to take the On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems Designers exam. To be considered for approval you must submit a complete application to the board office.
You aren't required to get an on-site designer license if you are:
- A licensed professional engineer
- An employee or subordinate working under the direct supervision of a licensed designer or professional engineer.
Application Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 4 years of experience showing increased responsibility as defined in WAC 196-32-020
- A passing score on the Washington On-Site Designer/Inspector Law Review
- Pay application fee
Required Documentation
- Submit your application and a completed Washington On-Site Designer/Inspector Law Review
- Law Reviews received prior to application will not be accepted
- Submit the On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems Designer Experience Verification form (see form for instructions)
